Rich with history, Atlanta was at one time a bustling town and major employer in Hamilton County. A gradual decline in manufacturing and railroad jobs began the migration of the populous to more urban areas.

Atlanta is served by the Hamilton Heights School District located on State Road 19 between Cicero and Arcadia. While some of the students in the area are schooled in the Tipton School District which lies just north of the city. The Hamilton Heights School District offers a great education and boasts a 85.7% graduation rate while the Tipton Schools are equally as good, with rates over 83%.

Atlanta is the home of the New Earth Festival, a thrilling weekend that draws over 100,000 people to our town. Hundreds of vendors line the streets selling everything from wood crafts to t-shirts, racing memorabilia to knives...as well as wonderful food. The festival occurs every fourth full weekend of September. Outdoor recreation is just a short drive to Noblesville and its aquatic Forest Park and Morse Reservoir. Family run businesses dot the cityscape and consumers come to the area for its quaint shops.
